Hi everyone
It's high time for another update and finally I managed to give you a short statement to what’s going on at the Omophagia-camp. Normally we try to keep you informed as regularly as we can but at the moment we are very busy with the recordings and everything that comes with it.
As I told you earlier our recording-work got delayed due to several reasons and in the meantime the delay grew even more. We have spent and still spend every single free minute into that album and sometimes the work doesn't seem to have no end.
But as you all know "haste makes waste" and the good thing is that we are all really satisfied with the output. And in the end this is what really matters! We would have never imagined that this would have been possible after only 3 years of Omophagia's existence.
But now to the interesting part: We did a Photoshooting for the CD-Inlay which was quite a funny thing since modeling is usually not our primary business. I can tell you that it was harder than we expected. Now we know why these models are that skinny, they just don’t have any time to eat ;-)… However, we will show you some pics as soon as they are ready.
Now we are working on the cover-artwork which seems to turn out great. We are very happy that we finally could find a talented guy that helps us getting the result that we need. I will keep you informed on that…
So far all instruments have been completed and at the moment we are recording the vocal-tracks, so an end is definitely in sight. I expect the recordings to be finished in July and afterwards they will be mixed and mastered in Poland. The release date will be a few months later but I promise the new album will be released within this year and probably we are able to show you a track or two on myspace before.
So you see that a lot has been going on here and a few things will be up until everything is done. We can hardly wait to show you the result of the past months.
By the way a few concerts have been confirmed so take a look at the live section.
See ya next time.

Hi folks!
Yes we are still alive and no, we have not been devoured by our studio so far. We needed a little more time since we had serious technical problems during the recordings and the other thing ist that we all have to work beside our Omophagia-project. This caused a small delay but the good thing is that we we were able to solve all technical problems and things still turn out great - although a bit slower than expected.
At the moment we are working on the final bass-tracks and afterwards the vocals will be next up. So the guitars are all done and I can tell you Henrique and Mischa did an amazing job on their rythm and solo-guitar duties. We expect the recordings to be completed within April and after that we will send our stuff to the "Hertz"-studio in Poland for mixing and mastering. You will probaly know this studio already from works of bands like Behemoth, Vader, Hate, Decapitated, Kronos and many more.

As we told you last time we did a single gig during our recording-session. We had not been playing any gig for weeks so we could hardly wait to get back on stage again. And I can tell you it was a real massive blast and we had so much fun that night that we are really looking forward to our next gig in March. We would like to thank every single motherf***er that was part of this amazing evening and we hope see you again in March.
We will now slowly return to normal-mode an hit the stages more often than in the past weeks. Be prepared to hear one or two of our new tracks.
See you soon

Here are a few words from our drummer Lehmä concerning the recording sessions of Omophagia's new album:
Hi folks
Let me give you guys a brief update about what’s going in our bunker. After an intense period of writing new songs and bringing the arrangements to perfection, we fortunately managed to finalize the tracks on time. So that even the drummer had some days left to practice his patterns..:-) As scheduled, we’ve entered the studio on December 18 to start with the drum tracks. We knew that this year’s Christmas Eve would be special… There was no possibility to extensively kick back with our beloved ones as we’ve spent most of the time in our stinky studio. Somehow I feel sorry for that.
BUT: The work was definitely worth it!!! All of the drum parts are done now. (There will be some video updates soon…). To some extent the drum parts were pretty challenging for me to play… and honestly: Quite few times I could curse the freaking metronome:-) However, beer, redbull and pizza helped to hang in there. I hope, you will like the drumming…
As the drum records were done faster than anticipated, we have now been able to start with the guitars. I am really amazed about the guitar sound. It just sounds killing!
By the way: we’re looking forward to our next gig on January 23 at the Rotting Tank Festival! Hope to see you there.
Ok guys, that’s it for the moment.
Stay tuned!
Cheers, Lehmä |

Hi folx
I'd just like to tell you what's happening at the Omophagia-camp at the moment. As you all know we are working hard to get the new CD done as soon as possible and fortunately things seem to work out great. We make good progress in the songwriting process and hope that we can start recording the new shit even within this year. So far 8 songs have been finished and since we are always working on several tracks at the same time you can be sure more tracks will be completed soon. Be prepared to listen to the most brutal stuff you ever heard from Omophagia!
As I told you earlier we will give few concerts this winter because of the songwriting process. To be more precise we will only do ONE! The so called "Rotting Tank Festival" will take place at the capitol city of Switzerland, in Bern. The date will be the 22th and 23th of January and the venue is called Gaskessel. Here are the bands that will play with us:
- Confector - God Dethroned - Asag - Knowhere - Bloody Blasphemy
By the way take a look at these bands, they all are really great. Especially I would like to call your attention to the blackmetal act Asag (www.asagkult.ch). I did the recording and mixing of their new album "Feuer zieh mit mir" which they will present at this event. A real interesting act, don't miss it!
Hope to see you guys there and who knows, probably we are able to show you some new shit! So for those who can't wait, we will se ya there!
Cheers
Ben |

I have the unpleasant duty to tell you that we had to cancel our gig at the metal 4 metal at the 10th of october. It's the first time that we have to do this and I'm really sorry that I couldn't tell it to you earlier. It is due to my annual military service which I couldn't change for this weekend. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see you soon at our next gig. Ben |
